Located in Sumner County, Hendersonville has a population of roughly 55,000 making it the largest city in the county. Hendersonville is notably famous for being home to countless musicians, especially country music. Some of these include Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Kelly Clarkson, and Taylor Swift.
Hendersonville was historically a trading center that focused on the production of tobacco and trade of livestock including horses and cattle when it was first settled in 1790. Later on in the mid-1900s, the Hickory Dam had been completed and the area began to develop and attract those seeking recreation. Today, Hendersonville has continued to grow and become the most populous suburb of Nashville in Sumner county.
