Shawn Tate is a successful multi-million-dollar global real estate advisor with Zeitlin Sotheby's International Realty. From an early age, Shawn was inspired by the world around him and consistently looked for ways to inspire others. As an avid learner, he sought out educational opportunities that would lead him to a life of purpose and service. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Columbia College. While completing his education, Shawn built the foundation of his business knowledge working as a manager with the Glidden Company and Account Executive with Ameritech Corporation.
After completing graduate school, he took a much different career turn. Putting together his business knowledge, education, and desire to inspire, he began a role with Chordant Distribution, a division of EMI Christian Music Group, the world’s largest Christian record company. For close to a decade, Shawn helped expand the reach of Christian music through innovative marketing strategies and relationship building with local and national businesses. He also was a pivotal executive in the launch of the EMI Gospel record label. This phase of his career helped him to establish the framework for the people-oriented approach to sales and marketing that he carried into his role as a global real estate advisor.
Shawn attributes his success in the world of music marketing to the A-level caliber of talent he worked with and similarly, his successful real estate career rests on his keen understanding of his client’s needs and goals. For him, every client is an A-level client. Working with and selling luxury real estate, he understands the importance of investing in something special. For Shawn, luxury is not a price point but a level of service, and his greatest investment is in the clients he serves.
